Verification
Require new members to complete a configured verification flow.
How it works
Verification grants one or more member roles after a configured button, captcha, voice, or premium secure-browser check.
Before you start
- Create the verified-member role and place it below Airwavy's role.
- Prepare a verification channel and, if used, a private verification-log channel.
Configure it
- Open Verification in the dashboard.
- Choose the verification mode, verified roles, verification channel, staff roles, and any available security or log settings.
- Save, then test with a non-staff account that does not already hold the role.
Choose a verification mode
- Button provides a straightforward interaction in the configured verification channel.
- Captcha can use easy, normal, or hard challenges, optional line interference, math challenges, and a configurable attempt limit. Free servers use the standard captcha experience; advanced controls require premium.
- Voice grants the configured roles after a member joins the selected verification voice channel, with optional private confirmation and logging.
- Secure is a premium browser flow that verifies the signed-in Discord account and active session before roles are granted.
Failed attempts and staff review
- Reaching the captcha attempt limit blocks another verification attempt for 24 hours.
- Premium servers can choose an automatic kick or ban after the final failed attempt; without that choice, the member remains blocked for staff review.
- A private premium verification log can give configured staff guarded actions to unblock the member, keep the block, kick, or ban.
- Staff actions remain subject to Discord permissions and role hierarchy.
Expected result
- A new member can complete the verification flow in the selected channel.
- Successful verification grants the configured role and optional logs go to the log channel.
Common errors
Verification succeeds but no role is granted
Place Airwavy's role above the verified role and grant Manage Roles. Discord prevents bots from granting roles above their own.
Saved changes do not take effect
Reload the feature page and confirm the saved values. Then verify that the selected Discord channel or role still exists and that Airwavy can access it.
Discord reports missing permissions
Check the permission on both the server role and the target channel. Channel overwrites and role hierarchy can deny an action even when the server-level permission is present.
