Discovery Tips
Learn useful Airwavy features through private, dismissible suggestions after relevant commands.
How it works
Airwavy can show a short private tip after a successful related command. Current tips introduce economy basics, rank and profiles, music queues, and AFK privacy, each with a direct link to the relevant guide.
Before you start
- No server setup is required; tip preferences belong to the individual Discord user.
- Tips appear only after eligible successful commands and never as public channel messages.
Configure it
- Use /tips status to review whether tips are enabled and how many have been seen.
- Use /tips disable or the Disable tips button to stop future suggestions.
- Use /tips enable to resume them, or /tips reset to make the current tip set eligible again.
Control and privacy
- Tips are ephemeral Discord responses visible only to the user who triggered them.
- Dismiss hides the current suggestion; Disable tips stops all future suggestions for that user.
- Reset clears which tips have been seen but does not change server feature configuration.
- Tip preferences follow the Discord user across servers.
Expected result
- A user sees at most one new private tip in a 24-hour period, and each tip is shown once until preferences are reset.
- Each tip can be dismissed individually and links to the exact feature guide it explains.
Common errors
A tip does not appear
Tips are intentionally occasional. Check /tips status; the relevant tip may already be seen, disabled, unrelated to that command, or within the 24-hour interval.
Saved changes do not take effect
Reload the feature page and confirm the saved values. Then verify that the selected Discord channel or role still exists and that Airwavy can access it.
Discord reports missing permissions
Check the permission on both the server role and the target channel. Channel overwrites and role hierarchy can deny an action even when the server-level permission is present.
