Tags
Save reusable text snippets that any member can post back with /tag.
How it works
Tags are staff-created, named text snippets. Staff use /tag create to save one, and any member can post its saved content with /tag use. There is no dashboard page for Tags — it is managed entirely with commands.
Before you start
- Decide which staff should be able to create, edit, and delete tags — this requires the Manage Server permission or server ownership.
- Plan short, lowercase, hyphen-or-underscore-friendly tag names, since /tag use looks up an exact normalized name.
Configure it
- As staff, run /tag create with a name (up to 32 characters) and content (up to 2000 characters).
- As any member, run /tag use with that name, or pick it from the autocomplete list, to post the saved content.
- Use /tag list to see every saved tag, and /tag edit or /tag delete to manage one afterward.
Permissions and limits
- Creating, editing, and deleting tags requires the Manage Server permission or server ownership; using and listing tags is open to everyone.
- Free servers can save up to 5 tags; Premium removes this limit.
- Tag names are case-insensitive and limited to lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores, up to 32 characters; content is limited to 2000 characters.
No dashboard page
Tags do not appear in the dashboard's feature list and have no toggle or configuration page. Everything — creating, editing, deleting, listing, and posting — happens through the /tag command in Discord.
Expected result
- /tag use posts the saved content publicly and increases that tag's use count.
- /tag list shows every tag name saved in the server.
Common errors
/tag create, edit, or delete fails
Confirm you hold the Manage Server permission or server ownership, the name uses only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores, and (for create) that name is not already taken.
Saved changes do not take effect
Reload the feature page and confirm the saved values. Then verify that the selected Discord channel or role still exists and that Airwavy can access it.
Discord reports missing permissions
Check the permission on both the server role and the target channel. Channel overwrites and role hierarchy can deny an action even when the server-level permission is present.
