Voice Channel Counters
Keep voice or stage channel names synchronized with live all-user, human-member, or bot totals.
How it works
Channel counters rename selected voice or stage channels to a label plus the current server total. They update when members join or leave, and Airwavy removes invalid saved destinations automatically.
Before you start
- Create or choose a voice or stage channel for each total you want to display.
- Grant Airwavy Manage Channels and ensure the selected channel is manageable by the bot.
Configure it
- Open Voice Channel Counters in the dashboard and enable the feature.
- Add a counter, choose All users, Members, or Bots, enter a display label of up to 80 characters, and select its voice or stage channel.
- Save and verify the channel name changes to the label followed by the live count.
Counter types and plan limits
- All users counts every current server member, including bots.
- Members counts human members only.
- Bots counts bot accounts only.
- Free servers can configure one counter channel; premium servers can configure up to 12 across the available types.
Channel behavior
- Airwavy changes only the selected channel name; it does not move members or change voice permissions.
- The final channel name is limited by Discord's channel-name length.
- If a saved channel is deleted or is no longer a supported voice or stage channel, Airwavy removes that invalid destination from the saved counter list.
Expected result
- The selected channel displays a name such as Members : 120 using the current server total.
- Join and leave activity refreshes the relevant totals without members manually editing the channel.
Common errors
The channel name does not update
Confirm the feature is enabled, the destination is still a voice or stage channel, and Airwavy has Manage Channels with access to manage that channel.
Saved changes do not take effect
Reload the feature page and confirm the saved values. Then verify that the selected Discord channel or role still exists and that Airwavy can access it.
Discord reports missing permissions
Check the permission on both the server role and the target channel. Channel overwrites and role hierarchy can deny an action even when the server-level permission is present.
