Music
Play tracks and playlists in Discord voice channels with queue controls.
How it works
Music supports search and URL playback, queues, pause and resume, seeking, looping, filters, equalizers, volume, lyrics, and 24/7 voice operation for eligible servers.
Before you start
- Allow Airwavy to View Channel, Connect, Speak, and use voice activity in music channels.
- Join the target voice or stage channel before starting playback.
Configure it
- Open Music in the dashboard and configure server music behavior, including 24/7 mode if available to your plan.
- Save, join a voice channel, and run /play with a song name or supported URL.
- Test /skip and /stop, then review the empty-channel behavior for your 24/7 setting.
Join and control playback
- Join the voice or stage channel where you want Airwavy to play.
- Run /join, or run /play with a song name or supported URL and let Airwavy join automatically.
- Use /pause and /resume without changing the queue, or /skip to advance to the next track.
- Use /stop to end playback, clear the active player, and disconnect. Use /leave when you explicitly want the player to leave voice.
Search, queues, and playlists
The /play query accepts a search phrase or supported media URL. A supported playlist URL adds its tracks as one request and reports how many were queued.
- Use /queue to inspect the current track and upcoming entries.
- Use /shuffle to reorder upcoming tracks, /delete to remove a numbered queue entry, and /clearqueue to remove upcoming tracks.
- Use /loop with off, track, or queue mode. /nowplaying shows the current player, while /seek, /volume, /filters, and /equalizers change playback.
DJ controls
When DJ-only mode is enabled, configure at least one DJ role or the supported premium booster option. Members with Manage Server can operate music controls; other members need a configured DJ path.
Empty-channel and 24/7 behaviour
- Airwavy waits for the configured empty-channel grace period and cancels cleanup if a human returns.
- With 24/7 disabled, Airwavy stops playback, clears the queue, and disconnects after the channel remains empty.
- With 24/7 enabled, Airwavy stops playback and clears the queue but remains connected and unpaused, ready for a future /play request.
Voice and playback troubleshooting
Airwavy does not join
Join a voice channel first, then check View Channel, Connect, the channel user limit, and whether Airwavy is already active in another voice channel for the server.
Search returns nothing
Try a direct supported URL, confirm the Music feature is enabled, and retry after a temporary provider or network outage.
A control is denied
Use the same voice channel as Airwavy, then review DJ-only roles, Manage Server access, and the command cooldown.
Expected result
- Tracks enter the guild-specific queue and play in the requester's voice channel.
- When the channel is empty after the grace period, the queue is cleared; non-24/7 players disconnect while 24/7 players stay connected and ready for future playback.
Common errors
Airwavy joins but there is no audio
Check Speak, Connect, server mute/deafen state, and the voice region. Then try a different supported source to separate source availability from Discord permissions.
Saved changes do not take effect
Reload the feature page and confirm the saved values. Then verify that the selected Discord channel or role still exists and that Airwavy can access it.
Discord reports missing permissions
Check the permission on both the server role and the target channel. Channel overwrites and role hierarchy can deny an action even when the server-level permission is present.
